From an intern to CFO of Unilever -A Journey of Fahd Sheriff

An inspiring journey of Fahd Sheriff from an intern to CFO of Unilever is the highlight of this interview taken by Mrs.Sisam Bajgain. Fahd Sheriff is  a CIMA qualified Senior Finance Manager, with an MSc in Business Analytics (Data Science). He has worked in Unilever since 2009, initially recruited as intern and now he is Chief Financial Officer of Unilever. The interview focuses to inspire the MBA aspirants and general people to start from bottom and reach to top. Fahd Sheriff has shared his experience while working in Unilever and how one can trust themselves and do big in their life. He shared his insights on changing the field of study and the need to change it.

Later in the interview he shared the importance of understanding language and culture for smooth operation of company. Along with that he also shared how he is learning Nepali language to connect with his subordinates. Talking about emotional intelligence he said connecting with people is necessary. He also talked about ethics and being ethical is important for smooth functioning of a company.  Sharing his experience on how to work in company for a long term he talked about the organizational citizenship. He concluded the interview by saying one’s values should match with the organization values to create a strong organizational citizenship.
